Steady Bliss™ was born one day when Anastasia was reading the ancient sage Pattanjali's Yoga Sutras. One of the sutras really spoke to her — Sthira Sukham Asanam (Connection to the Earth [or yoga pose] should be steady and joyful). Anastasia decided to commit her life to spreading steady bliss. Anastasia holds a BA in journalism form NYU, a master's degree in natural health from CCNH, is a certified nutritional consultant and a yoga teacher. Anastasia is also certified to teach prenatal yoga classes, which she enjoys greatly. Currently Anastasia is in the process of studying for a Ph. D in holistic nutrition. Anastasia is deeply devoted to her twelve-year old yoga practice. She has been fortunate to have studied and attended workshops and lectures of great yoga teachers, to whom she is deeply thankful for sharing their time, light, love and wisdom. Anastasia has experienced many styles and schools of yoga, eventually falling in love with the Jivamukti method and receiving the Jivamukti teaching certification. As Anastasia's teaching evolved, her style progressed to be more alignment-oriented, mostly inspired by the heart-centered and detail- tuned Anusara yoga, which Anastasia's has extensively studied over the past two years. All of this knowledge of cutting edge and ancient Eastern and Western nutrition philosophies as well as yoga practices have enabled Anastasia to develop her own, new health and yoga program, called YogaPulse™. YogaPulse™ includes very specific, energy-tuned, physically strong classes, uniquely developed by Anastasia, as well as a nutritional guide, called Anastasia's Food Celebration, designed to reshape your body and transform your life!™ Anastasia's YogaPulse™ classes range from mild to vigorous, with the emphasis on the slow, yet physical flow of postures, linked by breath and alignment (optimal positioning of the body to allow for the universal current of energy to shine through.) The classes include multiple held postures, breathing exercises and brief meditation. Anastasia inspires her students to tap into the universal energy flow through stimulation of very specific points on the body, which she calls called pulse zones through positions and breathing. Unlocking the normally stagnant energy in these zones can create more radiant health. Anastasia's teaching method encourages the students to go deeper inside themselves to find their true teacher within, while allowing the body to become the expression of its divine nature, strength and compassion. These days, Anastasia spends her time between New York, Connecticut and Florida, where she leads nutrition and holistic health workshops, promoting her Food Celebration and YogaPulse™ programs. She also works with multiple clients privately and in groups, helping them to lose weight and feel better with the help of YogaPulse™, Anastasia's new health system. Currently, Anastasia offers one, two or three month-long YogaPulse™ programs, designed to reshape your body and transform your life™ by teaching you about nutrition, weight loss and radiant health. All programs are available in person or over the phone. Prior to becoming a a yoga teacher and a nutrition counselor, Anastasia was a professional model with photographs published in Maxim, Marie Claire, Stuff and Glamour magazines. In her free time, Anastasia enjoys painting. Anastasia is fluent in English, Russian, Hebrew and has a good working knowledge of French. |
